]]>In Him is our hope.
Let that sink in for a minute.
In Him is our hope.
In Him is our hope.
The things that we fill our lives with, the “noise” that we surround ourselves with, the alcohol and drugs, all of it is our way of trying to fill the void of someone whose no longer there. Someone who is so dear to us, so necessary to us, that our very spirit cries out to Him. We’ve known Him forever, yet the world is mad to beat Him out of us for the light of Christ exposes the evils that men do in the dark.
It doesn’t change Him, He is still the One that we cry out for, that we need, He is still our Hope, the only Hope. Revelation 12:11 says that “They (us) overcame him (satan) by the Blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…”. We are they that overcome and satan is the one that we overcome. We do it by the Blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony or confession or profession. Like this, “I am washed in the Blood of the Lamb and I am innocent!” Our testimony is that we are innocent of the sins that satan accuses us of, we become innocent through the Blood of the Lamb, that is, by receiving in our heart and confessing with our mouth Jesus as our risen Lord and Savior. The power of this verse is immense and satan doesn’t want man to understand it and Jesus wants you to live it.
Jesus says, what are you battling, what are you fighting? Sickness? Disease? Lack? Doubt?
“I am washed in the Blood of the Lamb and I am healed and made whole!”
“I am washed in the Blood of the Lamb and I lack no good thing!”
“I am washed in the Blood of the Lamb and alcohol/drugs have no hold on me.”
“I am washed in the Blood of the Lamb and God Almighty is my everlasting Hope!”
It’s powerful, so if you’re going to confess something in your life, confess the Word in your life. Confess the victory of Jesus Christ into your life. “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (NKJV). Another translation of it says that, “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].” (AMPC)
I want you to picture this, your favorite person, maybe it’s your grandma or grandpa, they’re standing in the front door of the house looking out and they open the screen door and call out to you. They call you by name several times and you hear them but you’re playing and having fun and don’t want to stop. What do you do? Do you act as though you didn’t hear them, knowing that they will come looking for you? Maybe you run from them when they come to find you? Is this the way you have been with God?
He’s still calling out to you.
You’re still crying out for hope.
Turn to Him, He is your hope.
Don’t turn to religion filled with man’s traditions, turn to a relationship with Jesus, the Christ. Spend time getting to know Him, just as you would your grandpa or grandma.
Reach out, He’s right there.

]]>I pray that we, as a nation, respond with prayer, seeking the wisdom of God and not respond with impulse or emotion. Refuse to allow the enemy to bait us into action without first seeking the Lord or we will see this great nation decline into another civil war that will pit family against family. No, we must know God’s plan for this moment and move forward in His path for it is with Him and through Him only that we will succeed.
If you don’t know the Lord as Savior, now is the time to seek Him, to find Him, to receive Him. He is pursuing you, waiting of you to turn to Him and receive Him. Take this battle that we are going through to His throne for He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We need your voice in prayer, joined to ours, joined to the Body of Christ. Let us stand in Victory, knowing that Christ has already secured the Victory for us.
I pray for Peace, Love, and Wisdom to prevail over all.

]]>I served in the United States Army in younger days and I love this country as much today as I ever have. We are the greatest nation in the earth and the only nation whose founders were so connected to the Father that they spent countless hours in prayer, seeking the Lord for His wisdom in their endeavor to secure our Independence.
We, as a nation, have a grand history and one that can be celebrated from coast to coast.
I am thankful to God to be here, we had plans to be here three years ago, that’s the difference between our timing and God’s timing. In Proverbs 16, verse 9 says, “A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.” Amplified Classic. If we had denied God and moved of our own accord we would have been out of position and would not have been capable of answering His call for us in that season, and great was His call.
Proverbs 16 is a great example of how we began as a nation and as we go through a few of the verses together today, it will become evident that our founding fathers lived out the very truths of this proverb.
(1)“The plans of the mind and orderly thinking belong to man, but from the Lord comes the [wise] answer of the tongue.
(2) All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the Lord weighs the spirits (the thoughts and intents of the heart).
(3) Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him; He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.
(4) The Lord has made everything [to accommodate itself and contribute] to its own end and His own purpose—even the wicked [are fitted for their role] for the day of calamity and evil.
(5) Everyone proud and arrogant in heart is disgusting, hateful, and exceedingly offensive to the Lord; be assured [I pledge it] they will not go unpunished.
(6) By mercy and love, truth and fidelity [to God and man—not by sacrificial offerings], iniquity is purged out of the heart, and by the reverent, worshipful fear of the Lord men depart from and avoid evil.
(7) When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.
(8) Better is a little with righteousness (uprightness in every area and relation and right standing with God) than great revenues with injustice.
(9) A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.
(10) Divinely directed decisions are on the lips of the king; his mouth should not transgress in judgment.
(11) A just balance and scales are the Lord’s; all the weights of the bag are His work [established on His eternal principles].
(12) It is an abomination [to God and men] for kings to commit wickedness, for a throne is established and made secure by righteousness (moral and spiritual rectitude in every area and relation).
As we read through these scriptures, it is easily seen that the mind of man is busy making plans, wether for good or for evil, yet the Lord is aware of it and aware of the condition of a person’s heart, his or her spirit. God calls on people to live and function in righteousness, in His commands, because when we do, then He can guide us into His perfect plan for us, as individuals and as a nation. A godly king or leader is divinely directed and will not transgress or go against God’s judgement and his “balance and scales are the Lord’s; all the weights of the bag are His work,” meaning the king or leader weighs out judgement based upon God’s principles. When a king or a leader abuses his people by going against God’s principles, he or she operates in wickedness and becomes an abomination to God.
When we look into history at the founding of America we can see the classic battle of good verses evil, the godly verses the greedy, and the abuse of the authority of the position of king or leader. In short, we can see how the King of England at the time, misused his authority to try to rule over or subjugate the colonies. We also see that God overcame this by using godly men and women to alter and change the course of this nation and, in the end, used a smaller “militia” (common people who were willing to stand in the gap) to defeat and repel a much larger army (trained in the ways of war) and succeed in establishing the United States of America. The wisdom with which God guided the founding fathers in creating this Constitutional Republic and the necessary documents to reign in the abuse of power they had experienced, making this a nation of the people and for the people, is quite evident and to be celebrated. Most of us know too little about our constitution and the great accomplishments since its inception, evil does not want us to know about our greatness through God, how He has guided us to be exceptional. Evil spends its time promoting the evil deeds that it has done throughout our history as representative of our great nation. This is a lie from the pit of hell. God has made us a great and sovereign nation, it is our responsibility to know and understand our history and stand boldly in our God-given rights written so plainly in our constitution.
In Ephesians chapter 6 it says “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—“
When you have done all to stand, STAND.
May God Bless you richly this day as you celebrate the anniversary of our independence and may He fill you to overflowing with His wisdom and knowledge.

]]>In this season that we are in, God has Blessed us through a handful of people and their generosity. This has allowed us to relocate to Texas to be near a much larger ministry and church that we partner with so we can be immersed in God’s Word and we can, in turn, lift up others. If you’ve ever run on “E” spiritually, then you understand why it is so vital to be connected with a church and ministries that nourish and disciple freely.
According to Ephesians 4:11-16 God has given the Body of Christ those that are apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers. This five-fold ministry anointing is responsible for the raising up of the Body of Christ from babes to mature believers. It is vital to be involved with all five, hopefully through those ministries that are partnered with the home church and in line with the Word of God.
We have a lot of respect for these ministry gifts and those that operate in them according to the Word of God and are called to it by God. Now all that was said to reinforce that it is vital to be connected with a church and ministries that nourish and disciple freely.
Our vision of Patriot Drive, a disaster relief mission being birthed under the True Patriot Ministries umbrella, is always before us, every time we see a Super C motorhome or a mobile kitchen (concession) trailer, or a piece of land with a shop on it, we talk about what it is going to look like when it all comes together. We have begun to share about this on our Facebook page and on X (formerly Twitter) so if that’s where you catch up on things, then be sure to follow us.
We’ve been in a hotel since the 1st of June waiting for an apartment to open up later this month. We wait patiently upon the Lord to reveal to us our next move in His plan for us and our ministry. By the way, patiently waiting is an action and will look different for each of us and for each situation, even King David didn’t assume that God would move the same way every time. For us, patiently waiting has looked like applying for jobs, attending and getting involved in different events in the church.
He has called us to this area of Texas and He provided a way to get here. In the natural, the enemy comes and applies pressure on us, much like he does you. The typical area for a lot of missionaries is in their finances, when they answer the call, they often don’t have the finances to do what they are called to do.
So while He supplied us to get here, we have still had to put our Faith to work for a roof over our heads, food on the table, and for our finances to be covered. We have had to trust in the Lord because He is the One that opens and closes doors, He is the One that directs the ram on its journey to the thicket. The enemy has definitely applied pressure, but we are the ones that must choose Faith in God over the fear that the devil wants us to take on, we are the ones that must walk out the Blessing of Abraham promised us in the Word of God. It hasn’t been easy, and Jesus did warn us that we would have tribulation, but they are nothing compared to what He took for us.
Recently we met a young woman at a store who was asking about my “Jesus, the Healer” T-Shirt. We had a great conversation and talked about different ministries, including one at her church which the church funds through their coffee shop. She quoted this scripture:
If a brother or sister is naked and lacking daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” and yet you give them nothing that the body needs, what does it profit? James 2:15-16.
Her testimony about how the church-run cafe helped supply a men’s and a women’s home was a pleasant reminder to us that God does provide. The devil may bring pressure to quit, but it is God who richly supplies. This young woman’s conversation with us gave us hope and encouraged us, just as we hope it encourages you.
In Proverbs 16:9 NKJV it says “A man’s heart plans his way, But the LORD directs his steps.” Much as God directed the steps of a ram to be at the right place, at the right time, to become Abraham’s much needed supply, He is guiding your supply, and ours, to the proper intersection of time, location, and need. Stay in Faith and apply God’s Word to the pressure in your life. Pat, my wife, and I pray the Lord Blesses you richly in your endeavors and that He causes your necessary supply to overtake you suddenly.
We’ll leave you with 2 Corinthians 9:8-11 AMPC, this is a set of scriptures that we keep before us constantly as they speak directly to and about one of our greatest desires, maybe it will speak to yours also.
“And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. [9] As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever! [10] And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity]. [11] Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God.”

]]>We would like to begin building this disaster relief ministry with a home base here in the Newark-Decatur-Springtown area of Texas. This home base would be our home, our office, and our warehouse, this will allow us to respond quickly while minimizing costs of one facility instead of multiple separate facilities.
A mobile kitchen trailer would allow us to prepare and serve 2 to 3 meals a day, including water, tea, coffee, etcetera to victims and to emergency response crews during the initial days of response. A motorhome capable of pulling the mobile kitchen trailer would allow us and a small crew of volunteers to rest and take care of personal hygiene without competing with victims and response crews for hotel space. This would be the initial requirements for building and equipment necessary. There will be additional costs to the ministry in the form of legal aide to properly establish the program, proper insurance coverage for all equipment and liability coverage, fuel, food, generators, and certainly some items that we are unaware of at this time.
We believe that this is the right place to start because when a disaster happens victims are most likely stranded in whatever they are wearing at the time. It is also highly likely that most, if not all, utilities are disrupted during the initial days of the disaster which would make providing meals for themselves difficult if not impossible. By being onsite and providing hot meals, prayer and comfort, we can help victims have some sort of normalcy in the middle of the chaos of the situation.
Our success in this ministry depends completely on our God and you, the Body of Christ.
As this disaster relief ministry grows, there are many things that we would like add to further assist victims. We have discussed several additional trailers and vehicles necessary to transport them. A trailer for a clothes pantry so that victims can come in and pick out some clothes so that they have, at least, a small wardrobe to choose from so that they are not forced to wear only that which they had on when disaster struck. A dining tent complete with tables and chairs, a communication tent/trailer which would allow victims to call, text, or email family, friends, and insurance companies. We’ve also discussed mobile shower, restroom, and laundry trailers for victims and for volunteers a bunkhouse trailer allowing them to rest up.
The possibilities for expansion and growth for this ministry is immense. When you look at an organization like Samaritan’s Purse and the many ways they have to respond to so many different types of emergencies, you can begin to see just how expansive this type of ministry can become. But without legacy it is only temporary and we realize that and desire to build legacy into this ministry that it may aide many people for generations. We are merely the “yes” people, saying yes to God and allowing Him to work through us to be a catalyst for the Body of Christ to come together in unity and be a “Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In” (Isaiah 58:12). Our vision scripture is Matthew 25:40 “The King will answer, ‘Truly I say to you, as you have done it for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you have done it for Me.’”
Half the battle is for people to be properly informed so that they may seek the Lord as to what part, if any, they have in supporting a ministry. We ask you to seek the Lord about this ministry, how would He have you support us. Prayer is the first thing we desire and we are standing on 2 Corinthians 9:8-11 AMPC with one substitution, “kingdom sufficient” instead of “self sufficient.” If you are called to be a partner and a support, you can connect with us at:

]]>What lies ahead is more uncertainty than certainty. We know that we know that we know that God has called us to be a hands on part of this church (EMIC) and of the ministry (KCM). Ministries, like ours, and KCM and so many others, not to mention the millions of churches across America and other nations, we aren’t called to be separate, with great walls of division between us like the Berlin Wall. No, it is ONE BODY and Jesus is the HEAD OF THE BODY.
In Mark, chapter 9, verses 38 through 41 John and Jesus have a conversation:
“John answered Him, “Teacher, we saw one who does not follow us casting out demons in Your name, and we forbade him because he was not following us.” But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who does a miracle in My name can quickly speak evil of Me. For he who is not against us is for us. Truly I say to you, whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My name, because you belong to Christ, will not lose his reward.””
It does not matter which faction or following we are a part of, if we are of Jesus, the Christ, then we are, first and foremost, a part of the Body of Christ and He is the head…no man can supersede that. Therefore, we must, as the Body of Christ, function together, our strengths covering others’ weaknesses and our weaknesses covered by others’ strengths, just as God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) in covenant with us, covers our weaknesses through His Love, grace, and mercy.
You might say, what do I (I being any one of us) have to offer a ministry? It’s just me! Your zeal for God. God has planted in each of us gifting’s, no matter how humble or grand they seem to us, for the purpose of the kingdom of God. And that, in and of itself, is what should keep us humble. I cannot be all things to all people and neither can you. BUT, I can be an intricate part of the Body of Christ and contribute critical gifting’s, no matter how humble or grand they seem. The truth is in this scripture, Matthew 6:2-4 TPT, “So when you give to the poor, don’t announce it and make a show of it just to be seen by people, like the hypocrites in the streets and in the marketplace. They’ve already received their reward! But when you demonstrate generosity, do it with pure motives and without drawing attention to yourself. Give secretly and your Father, who sees all you do, will reward you openly.””
It’s all about motive, God sees your heart, even when no one else sees your heart and what He witnesses privately, He will reward you for openly.
One thing I have learned is that God is not looking at my ability to do what He calls me to do, He’s looking at my heart. Am I willing and obedient? If we had everything we needed for this calling to Texas, if we were wealthy enough to just pick up and go with no concern for our finances, if we knew and understood every step from beginning to finish, then it would be of us and not of Him. Those who wait until they (themselves) have everything necessary to fulfill a plan are not waiting on or listening to the Lord, but only on themselves. It is their plan and without God, it will fail. It may look like success to the world, but, again, God looks upon the heart. It’s ok to be recognized, but desire for God to recognize you openly for what you did from your heart that is set on Him and His kingdom.
God’s grace (favor) and His mercy (loving kindness) are greater than anything we will ever do or encounter in this world, there is nothing we can do that would cause Him to not fulfill a promise. When a toddler does something wrong, breaks something that he or she was told, over and over again, don’t touch that, they are corrected. That correction may cause them to cry for a moment and may cause us momentary disappointment, but our love for them overcomes that just as soon as they come to us, sorry for disappointing us. It is the same with God, our Father. When we turn to Him because we are sorry that our behavior disappointed Him (repent) then His grace and mercy is ours to receive…it is no different, we are modeled after Him.
I’ve gone on long enough for today, just know that God loves you, even if you’ve returned all His letters unopened, spoken poorly about Him or His children, He still loves you and still has a signed adoption agreement waiting for you. His hearts desire is that you be His son or daughter.

]]>So as we move forward, just ten short days from loading up a moving truck and heading to Texas, we leave to God the things we are still uncertain of. Housing is one of those things. What we understood to be a certainty became a “not going to happen” and so we continue to move forward, in faith. God has the plan, we just have to be quiet, to listen, be willing, and then be obedient.
Several years ago I had a desire to help veterans, especially those living on the street, but it never came to fruition. In April, the Lord showed us a similar work, a disaster relief work that excited both my wife and I. As most of you know, there have been a lot of damaging storms this year and there are not enough organizations like Samaritan’s Purse to help those in need.
To be able to mobilize and help people who have been devastated by a tornado, for example, would be one scenario. To arrive with a mobile kitchen trailer pulled by an RV and to serve victims and responders hot meals, a comforting word, and prayer. To have a mobile clothes pantry that allows the victims to fresh clothing as most have only what they were wearing when disaster struck. Or to be able to offer showers, bathrooms, or laundry facilities, in specially built trailers. To be able to help them call or email family and friends in a mobile communications trailer, that they may make critical arrangements with family. All within hours of disaster happening.
That’s some of what the Lord showed us. It’s scaleable, we will be looking into a home that can double as a base of operations, an initial RV capable of pulling a 28’-40’ mobile kitchen trailer. These three things, plus the necessary resources are the starting point. The scripture the Lord gave us is Matthew 25:40 “The King will answer, “Truly I say to you, as you have done it for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you have done it for Me.””
So we ask you to sow a seed in this project, a seed of prayer. 2 Corinthians 9:8-11 AMPC says “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need, be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].
As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever!
And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity.]\
Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God.”
May the Lord provide all things in abundance for this good work.
If you are led to sow beyond prayer, we pray the Lord God bless and multiply your seed that you may have an abundant harvest, not only through your seed, but also through our good works.

]]>As we move forward, we are uncertain as to what this will look like. Much like Abram when God told him to go, we go. It’s uncommon in our Body of Christ to just say, “Yes, Lord” and go. So many are preoccupied with all of the variables (finances, houses, jobs, etc.) that I wonder how many go through with what the Lord has said to them? How many looked too much on the wind and the waves and began sinking?
I have to admit that it has happened in some respects to me. I went into this knowing that I needed to stay out of God’s way in this endeavor and, yet, twice I have received correction from Him for wandering out of my lane, so to speak. I am a fixer, show me the problem and give me a minute and I will begin to fix it. My wife and I have an agreement, if she doesn’t want a problem fixed, tell me up front, then tell me what’s going on. This has helped in our marriage a lot because sometimes she just wants to be heard and I need to know this so I have my thinker in the right gear.
With God, it has been in the quiet moments after an unnerving and frustrating attempt on my part to figure out how a particular piece of the puzzle will fit. Once I get quiet I can hear His correction, I see exactly where I was taking away from Him His duties and trying to solve them in the flesh, I was impatient. Once I received correction, Peace would wash over me and my spirit would lift.
It’s still uncomfortable, our ministry is just in its infancy, we sow seed into it consistently and we know that eventually there will be a harvest, it’s a law. The Lord has been gracious to us and has given us a vision for the next phase of our ministry and we will unfold it here over the next several weeks and months. We know it’s from Him because it is not possible for us to do alone, it’s simply too big and has too many moving pieces.
Every change of season will bring its own distinct joys and challenges, it will be uncomfortable. Proverbs 16:9 AMPC says “A man’s mind plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps and makes them sure.” The last time the Lord corrected me, just a couple of days ago (His mercy and compassion are amazing), the next morning He led me to these two verses:
Psalm 37:23-24 AMPC “The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step]. Though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down, for the Lord grasps his hand in support and upholds him.”
I had begun to fall, stumbling on something that wasn’t mine to figure out, and He caught my hand, He stopped my fall, and lifted me back to a stable stance. When I read this scripture, I recognized it immediately and it took me to Matthew 14 where Peter, walking on the water, got his eyes off of Jesus and onto the storm and began to sink. He cried out to Jesus to save him and IMMEDIATELY Jesus caught his hand, lifted him up, and stabilized him.
That’s how close our God is to us at all times. Jesus never said we wouldn’t “sink” on occasion, but He has shown us to call out to Him and He will immediately catch our hand and stabilize us. Don’t forget to call out to Him in those times or to praise Him in the good times.
It’s a world gone mad and when you feel like you’re caught up in a game of “Frogger”, stop and get quiet and let the Lord guide your steps, He is faithful, He will not let you down, He will walk you through the valley to the high ground.

]]>The truth is, as many times as it takes. You see, it’s not because no one is telling about Him that so many are speaking out. It’s because in these peoples’ lives, the revelation of the Father’s Love and Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection has become real to them. No more fear of death, no more doubt of worth, no more feeling as though they are not worthy of love. No, the revelation of Jesus Christ has set them free from all of this and much more. No more gapping hole in the middle of our being, the Love of God overwhelms that hole and restores us.
It’s that amazing, that beautiful, that wonderful. The Love of God overwhelms every situation that you or I could ever imagine or experience. As we speak about Jesus today and everyday, about the price He paid through His spirit, through His soul, and through His body and the purpose of paying that price, more and more people will have Jesus revealed to them and receive Him as their Lord and Savior.
If you think in accounting terms, when Adam chose deception over truth in the garden, that was accounted to all man born thereafter. That debt of sin and death became the property of every man, woman, and child. Not because that was God’s will, but because it was Adam’s will. God has given each of us the power and authority of a free will, quite simply, the power and authority to say yes or no to God and yes or no to satan. So this debt is to everyone. What is included in this debt? Everything that is contrary to God’s design.
So how do you get rid of something that is accounted to you, something that has become your debt? In this case of the law of sin and death, we are unable to overcome it ourselves, we need help and that’s where Jesus and our Father stepped in graciously and, not only covered our immediate debts and there consequences, but overwhelmed them in such a way that nothing the enemy does can exhaust Their grace.
The body is the least of these three, and Jesus took our punishments, our chastisements, our sickness’ and diseases, even our poverty upon himself. His body was so wracked with all that was ours, that He was not recognizable on the cross. His soul, which is the mind, the will, and the emotions, suffered every mental and emotional attack that was rightfully ours, and yet He chose to continue and do the will of the Father. His spirit man suffered in a way that He had never experienced, the law of sin and death. Because He, who was sinless, took upon Himself every sin that was, is, and will be for every man, woman, and child that ever was or ever will be, He was separated from God spiritually. That condition that you and I are born into, He had never experienced. Jesus has been there since the very beginning as the second person of God, He had never been separated from the Father or the Holy Spirit, and on the cross and His journey into hell, He was.
If you pay attention to Scripture, you note that it took the mighty right arm of the Father, Himself, to bring Jesus up out of hell, to resurrect Him. It only took his little finger to create the world. Why did it take so much more to resurrect Jesus? Because He didn’t only bring Jesus out of hell, but everyone, the totality of man. He, the Father, ripped Jesus, and with Him, all mankind from the grasp of sin and death. He has already won that battle and is seated at the right hand of the Father in victory. What Jesus has done for us is this, He has given us His power and authority to declare that the law of sin and death has been PAID IN FULL in our lives.
How do I do this? It’s actually quite simple. First repent of your sinful life, that simply means turn around and come back to God, quit running at the worldly ways. Second, receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Resurrected One Who has redeemed you and desires to restore you to all the Father has for you. God looks at the heart, He sees the intent therein, so it doesn’t have to be perfect or pretty, it just needs to be from the heart. Thirdly, connect with a church that disciples people in all of God’s truths, not just the ones that are convenient to them. Leave the “feel good” churches alone, they are empty of heart and they refuse to disciple, to mature a believer. Be patient but be expecting, always and the Father’s Love will do amazing things in your life. We can’t change ourselves and we can’t change others, but Jesus can. He will cut away the baggage, the undesirable things and refine us. His Love is amazing and, I don’t know about you, I will to spend the rest of my time in this world learning and experiencing everything that He purchased for me. I pray you do also.
