Psalm 23:1-6 MEV<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside still waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name\u2019s sake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1 The LORD is my shepherd (He tends to me)<\/em> ; I shall not want (I do not lack any good thing)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2 He makes me lie down (to stretch oneself out)<\/em> in green pastures (pastures of tender green grass)<\/em>; He leads me beside still (peaceful)<\/em> waters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3 He restores (returns to original condition)<\/em> my soul (living being, mind, will, and emotions)<\/em>; He leads (guides)<\/em> me in paths (trenches)<\/em> of righteousness (rightness)<\/em> for His name\u2019s sake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4 Even though I walk through<\/strong> the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear (be afraid, will revere)<\/em> no evil; for You are with me; Your rod (sceptre, mark of authority) <\/em> and Your staff (sustenance, support of every kind)<\/em>, they comfort me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 You prepare (arrange, lay in order)<\/em> a table (of king\u2019s table, a meal)<\/em> before me in the presence of my enemies<\/strong> (adversaries, distresses, harassers)<\/em>; You anoint my head with oil; my cup runs over (saturation, satisfaction)<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6 Surely goodness (pleasant, agreeable, excellent)<\/em> and mercy (loving kindness) <\/em> shall follow (pursue)<\/em> me all the days of my life, and I will dwell (remain, sit, abide)<\/em> in the house (dwelling, shelter)<\/em> of the LORD forever.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
