He is risen!

Many people will write and share about Jesus today and, for some, it will seem like overkill. After all, how many times do we need to hear “He is risen!”?

The truth is, as many times as it takes. You see, it’s not because no one is telling about Him that so many are speaking out. It’s because in these peoples’ lives, the revelation of the Father’s Love and Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection has become real to them. No more fear of death, no more doubt of worth, no more feeling as though they are not worthy of love. No, the revelation of Jesus Christ has set them free from all of this and much more. No more gapping hole in the middle of our being, the Love of God overwhelms that hole and restores us.

It’s that amazing, that beautiful, that wonderful. The Love of God overwhelms every situation that you or I could ever imagine or experience. As we speak about Jesus today and everyday, about the price He paid through His spirit, through His soul, and through His body and the purpose of paying that price, more and more people will have Jesus revealed to them and receive Him as their Lord and Savior.

If you think in accounting terms, when Adam chose deception over truth in the garden, that was accounted to all man born thereafter. That debt of sin and death became the property of every man, woman, and child. Not because that was God’s will, but because it was Adam’s will. God has given each of us the power and authority of a free will, quite simply, the power and authority to say yes or no to God and yes or no to satan. So this debt is to everyone. What is included in this debt? Everything that is contrary to God’s design.

So how do you get rid of something that is accounted to you, something that has become your debt? In this case of the law of sin and death, we are unable to overcome it ourselves, we need help and that’s where Jesus and our Father stepped in graciously and, not only covered our immediate debts and there consequences, but overwhelmed them in such a way that nothing the enemy does can exhaust Their grace.

The body is the least of these three, and Jesus took our punishments, our chastisements, our sickness’ and diseases, even our poverty upon himself. His body was so wracked with all that was ours, that He was not recognizable on the cross. His soul, which is the mind, the will, and the emotions, suffered every mental and emotional attack that was rightfully ours, and yet He chose to continue and do the will of the Father. His spirit man suffered in a way that He had never experienced, the law of sin and death. Because He, who was sinless, took upon Himself every sin that was, is, and will be for every man, woman, and child that ever was or ever will be, He was separated from God spiritually. That condition that you and I are born into, He had never experienced. Jesus has been there since the very beginning as the second person of God, He had never been separated from the Father or the Holy Spirit, and on the cross and His journey into hell, He was.

If you pay attention to Scripture, you note that it took the mighty right arm of the Father, Himself, to bring Jesus up out of hell, to resurrect Him. It only took his little finger to create the world. Why did it take so much more to resurrect Jesus? Because He didn’t only bring Jesus out of hell, but everyone, the totality of man. He, the Father, ripped Jesus, and with Him, all mankind from the grasp of sin and death. He has already won that battle and is seated at the right hand of the Father in victory. What Jesus has done for us is this, He has given us His power and authority to declare that the law of sin and death has been PAID IN FULL in our lives.

How do I do this? It’s actually quite simple. First repent of your sinful life, that simply means turn around and come back to God, quit running at the worldly ways. Second, receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, the Resurrected One Who has redeemed you and desires to restore you to all the Father has for you. God looks at the heart, He sees the intent therein, so it doesn’t have to be perfect or pretty, it just needs to be from the heart. Thirdly, connect with a church that disciples people in all of God’s truths, not just the ones that are convenient to them. Leave the “feel good” churches alone, they are empty of heart and they refuse to disciple, to mature a believer. Be patient but be expecting, always and the Father’s Love will do amazing things in your life. We can’t change ourselves and we can’t change others, but Jesus can. He will cut away the baggage, the undesirable things and refine us. His Love is amazing and, I don’t know about you, I will to spend the rest of my time in this world learning and experiencing everything that He purchased for me. I pray you do also.

He is risen!
