Our vision begins with a strong desire to help victims of natural disasters by walking with them through the different stages.
Initial response
- Network with partner ministries/churches and local ministries/churches for team and volunteer deployment.
- Deploy necessary vehicles and equipment to the disaster area.
- Coordinate with emergency response personnel.
Recovery
- Coordinate with local hotels, housing, and community for temporary shelter for victims.
- Communicate with family members and friends of victims and help with transportation arrangements.
- Help victims with communicating with their insurance companies to ensure they are taken care of.
Long-Term Assistance
- Network with various non-profits for assistance with repairs to or re-building of victims house.
- Network with community and partner ministries/churches and our ministry partners to provide assistance with out of pocket insurance costs.
We would like to begin building this disaster relief ministry with a home base here in the Newark-Decatur-Springtown area of Texas. This home base would be our home, our office, and our warehouse, this will allow us to respond quickly while minimizing costs of one facility instead of multiple separate facilities.
A mobile kitchen trailer would allow us to prepare and serve 2 to 3 meals a day, including water, tea, coffee, etcetera to victims and to emergency response crews during the initial days of response. A motorhome capable of pulling the mobile kitchen trailer would allow us and a small crew of volunteers to rest and take care of personal hygiene without competing with victims and response crews for hotel space. This would be the initial requirements for building and equipment necessary. There will be additional costs to the ministry in the form of legal aide to properly establish the program, proper insurance coverage for all equipment and liability coverage, fuel, food, generators, and certainly some items that we are unaware of at this time.
We believe that this is the right place to start because when a disaster happens victims are most likely stranded in whatever they are wearing at the time. It is also highly likely that most, if not all, utilities are disrupted during the initial days of the disaster which would make providing meals for themselves difficult if not impossible. By being onsite and providing hot meals, prayer and comfort, we can help victims have some sort of normalcy in the middle of the chaos of the situation.
Our success in this ministry depends completely on our God and you, the Body of Christ.
As this disaster relief ministry grows, there are many things that we would like add to further assist victims. We have discussed several additional trailers and vehicles necessary to transport them. A trailer for a clothes pantry so that victims can come in and pick out some clothes so that they have, at least, a small wardrobe to choose from so that they are not forced to wear only that which they had on when disaster struck. A dining tent complete with tables and chairs, a communication tent/trailer which would allow victims to call, text, or email family, friends, and insurance companies. We’ve also discussed mobile shower, restroom, and laundry trailers for victims and for volunteers a bunkhouse trailer allowing them to rest up.
The possibilities for expansion and growth for this ministry is immense. When you look at an organization like Samaritan’s Purse and the many ways they have to respond to so many different types of emergencies, you can begin to see just how expansive this type of ministry can become. But without legacy it is only temporary and we realize that and desire to build legacy into this ministry that it may aide many people for generations. We are merely the “yes” people, saying yes to God and allowing Him to work through us to be a catalyst for the Body of Christ to come together in unity and be a “Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In” (Isaiah 58:12). Our vision scripture is Matthew 25:40 “The King will answer, ‘Truly I say to you, as you have done it for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you have done it for Me.’”
Half the battle is for people to be properly informed so that they may seek the Lord as to what part, if any, they have in supporting a ministry. We ask you to seek the Lord about this ministry, how would He have you support us. Prayer is the first thing we desire and we are standing on 2 Corinthians 9:8-11 AMPC with one substitution, “kingdom sufficient” instead of “self sufficient.” If you are called to be a partner and a support, you can connect with us at:

2 Corinthians 9:8-11 AMPC
And God is able to make all grace (every favor and earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need be kingdom-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation]. [9] As it is written, He [the benevolent person] scatters abroad; He gives to the poor; His deeds of justice and goodness and kindness and benevolence will go on and endure forever! [10] And [God] Who provides seed for the sower and bread for eating will also provide and multiply your [resources for] sowing and increase the fruits of your righteousness [which manifests itself in active goodness, kindness, and charity]. [11] Thus you will be enriched in all things and in every way, so that you can be generous, and [your generosity as it is] administered by us will bring forth thanksgiving to God.
Thank you and God Bless.
